St Anton is one of the most lively and well known ski resorts in Austria. It is situated in the Arlberg region of Austria and is a great place for some challenging skiing. St Anton is an eclectic town with a mix of old and new buildings which adds to the charm of the place. As well as the extreme skiing, St Anton has a reputation for some serious après-ski partying!

St Anton - Ski

St Anton attracts many people looking for some challenging skiing. It has a reputation for extreme ski and board terrain with lots of off- piste opportunities, but there are possibilities for intermediate skiers too. Even beginners have some nursery slopes as well as 34 runs to improve on before moving up to the 70 odd runs for intermediates. There are high speed lifts to take you from centre of St Anton to some amazing ski areas with unpisted bowls and gullies for the more adventurous skiers. To try and keep the queues as small as possible, improvements have been made to the St Anton ski lift system. There is now a 24 person gondola which you can use with you St Anton lift pass. Buy your St Anton lift pass now.

St Anton - town

Before the World Championship season started in 2000/1 the railway in St Anton was moved to make way for a landscaped park and ice rink. Despite the modernisation within the town, St Anton has managed to keep its Tyrolean atmosphere which continues to attract large numbers of people every year. The attraction of St Anton for a lot of people, as well as the great skiing, is the après-ski nightlife which can start from as early as 3pm and go on into the early hours of the morning. For people not looking for such an animated end to their day of skiing there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to explore throughout the pedestrianised streets of St Anton.

Activities

In the town of St Anton there is a bowling alley, gym, swimming pool and ice rink. There is also the possibility of going paragliding and there are many walking trails to explore.
