Les Deux Alpes - Ski Resort Guide

Deux Alpes is a reasonable sized village incorporating a range of styles from traditional chalets to recent developments. The resort can be prone to overcrowding, however it does possess high snow-sure slopes, excellent off-piste options and sunny nursery slopes. This along with a great party atmosphere throughout the resort makes it appealing to in the beginner and expert alike.

Les Deux Alpes - Ski

There is plenty to ski in Deux Alpes - with a vertical rise of 2000m and 220km of pistes! Only a few runs are available on the upper slopes but these include some easy runs - even beginners can enjoy the views from the top! Take a look at the Piste map. For the more adventurous the off-piste slopes of La Grave are a must, especially with a guide. For the experienced intermediate Les Deux Alpes can be a bit frustrating. Les Deux Alpes has built up an excellent reputation for snowboarding thanks to the snow park and high proportion of chair lifts - the Mondial du Snowboard competition is held here each year.

Les Deux Alpes - Town

Les Deux Alpes is a long narrow village - centred around one access road lined with a collection of accommodation, bars and shops. It is one lof the liveliest resorts in France and the nightlife of Les Deux Alpes is second to none with a wide variety of pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants that are mostly located at the south end of town.

Activities

With activities and facilities such as ice skating, ice gliding, a swimming pool, sauna, gyms, cinemas and a bowling alley there is more than enough to keep you entertained.High octane activities such as paragliding and helicopter flights are also on offer.
